A cheque was presented was presented to Joe Eastmure from the Maleny RFB at the garden club’s November meeting.
President Dot Jupp made the presentation, on behalf of Gardening on the Edge convenor Jan Maguire.
Mr Eastmure spoke about the recent Booroobin fire which took three weeks to extinguish. He said a new fire shed at Maleny could be finished by the end of next year but would need fitting out.
