Life Member – Pat Powell
Pat Powell gave talks to the members in the 1980-90’s on what to plant, when to plant and her knowledge is worthy of a chapter on its own. Pat filled the position of President in 1993-94, 1994-95, – Vice President in 1991-92, 1992-93.
With Corinne Taylor Pat was responsible for the Floral Carpet after Peg Burnett retired from designing these in 1991.
Nominated the Tree Dahlia as her flower of the year in 1994 and the Green Ice Miniature Rose as flower of the year in 1995.
From the Agenda of the 2010 AGM: (Pat Powell) Past President of the Club and has maintained continuous interest, excelling at the various positions she has held including Plant and Craft Stall Convenor, Meeting Venue provider, New Member delegate as well as talks and advice at meetings and in ‘Snippets’.
