Christmas lunch a fun way to end 2020

What a wonderful way to end a difficult year! More than 80 Maleny Garden Club members had a festive lunch at Flaxton Gardens to celebrate the end of 2020.

President Bill Henman presented gifts to several members in recognition of their extraordinary efforts. Those honoured included former presidents Marnie Trass and Dot Jupp as well as Marion Robertson and Ian Reimers.

As well as a delicious lunch there was entertainment, including member Molly reciting an amusing Pam Ayres’ poem about the COVID-19 – CLICK HERE for a link to that poem.

A Flaxton Gardens staff member also got us into the Christmas spirit by singing O Holy Night. Thanks again to Flaxton Gardens for hosting our annual celebration. We hope to return next year.

Speaking of 2021, save the dates of June 12 and 13 to attend our iconic Gardening on the Edge event! We have missed not holding it in 2020 and look forward to the next opportunity to do so. We hope to see you there! CLICK HERE to access our first flyer for the event – please share it with your gardening friends. There’ll be more updates on our website soon!
